Mikael Forss of F1 Team Sweden wins European title 2008
Mikael Forss of Finland - F1 Team Sweden wins UIM F2 European Cup.
UIM F2 World Cup drivers from Latvia Uvis Slakteris of Riga Powerboat Team second and 2007 European Champion Ugis Gross from Kalnciems Racing Team 3rd.
Jelf brothers sweep the top podium spots at the Grand Prix of Latvia
Owen Jelf of Jelf Racing after a tremendous start from only fifth position was the fastest to the first turn buoy and maintained the lead throughout the race. Pole Position holder Colin Jelf finished second, and Latvian Ugis Gross made the local crowd happy finishing third.
Jonas wins Match Race and Latvians fastest in Speed Record
Jonas Andersson of F1 Team Sweden beat Italian Alex Carella in Match Race final. Uvis Slakteris of Riga Powerboat Team had the fastest speed of 172 km/h and Ugis Gross of Kalnciems Racing Team was second with 169 km/h.

Record number of pilots in Riga
Riga is the next venue on the map of the UIM Formula 2 World Cup Series and we are happy to report that a record number of 24 pilots have confirmed their participation at the GRAND PRIX OF LATVIA on August 16-17. Over the past two years it is the greatest number of boats participating at an F2 venue.
Slakteris captures Aluksne title in style
Uvis Slakteris of Riga Powerboat Team was one of the three local favorites at the UIM Formula 2 European Cup race in Aluksne, Latvia. During the Grand Finale race he did not leave any chances nor to his fellow country men – his teammate Martins Bergholcs and Ugis Gross of Kalnciems Racing Team, nor to any other pilots.
